Stop! Don't Plan a Wedding without this book by Laura Weatherly

I haven't posted in awhile because...I'm helping my friend plan her wedding!!!!
I'm very excited about being Maid of Honor, and my bestie wants me to read some books with her so that I can be informative and help her out with all the planning and this is the book she chose. Any reason to read, right? But I really like the book, I like the author's tone in the book. She is refreshing and funny instead of dry like a lot of informative books are.

On another note my book club meeting is tomorrow and we need to pick our new book. My choices this month are:

I have never read any Jodi Picoult...but I'm ready to start.

I LOVE Emily Giffin, she's my favorite and this is the only one of her's I haven't read.

So these are my picks, Can't wait to see what everyone else picked and then of course there's the vote!

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

I picked this book for my book club and I am really happy with my pick.
This story pulled at my heartstrings. Stockett did a wonderful job at bringing these characters to life for me. I was amazed Stockett's debut novel was so genuine, well written, and amazing with it being her first. I felt her dialogue felt very natural considering she is a white woman writing as a southern balck woman during the 60s. Her story was believeable, genuine-so much so I bawled like a baby more than once.
I loved the relationships she built up in the story. Even though there were boundaries between the help and the famiiles, there was also this unspoken bond. The bosses had this attitude as if I can speak ill of my help but God help anyone else that dare say anything because that will be there ass. The love between the children and the black women that rasied them was so intense you can feel it for yourself as you read the words off the page.
